Communication skills and personality development are essential for establishing effectual and reverential relationships with service users. These abilities also play a major role when working with colleagues and other social workers for making decisions and assessments.Interpersonal abilities which enable the worker to engage meaningfully with the client lie at the heart of successful social work practice (Cournoyer, 1991). Sound communications skills are far more effective for the field of social work practice. All the practitioner of social work, working for youngsters, old age and other needy individuals who are truly in want of love, compassion and basic necessities of life should develop habits for very good and successful communication skills.

 To adopt excellent communication skills

Developing of genuine voice attraction
Eye contact with all individuals in front
Avoiding of nervousness and trembling
Vocabulary improvement and clear exact pronunciation
Boost of confident level
Body gestures and warm facial expressions

Basic two important factors of communication and interpersonal skill are formal and informal:

Formal: It is recognized communication system for official proposals. It focuses on helping students learn important communication skills in order to work successfully as a professional social worker. Better education and training of social workers, gives the greater outcomes for users and careers.

Informal: It grows out of the social interaction among men and women who work together. This would support for getting useful information for events to come, in the form of Grape vine which is to develop. It includes hands-on individual and group exercises that serve to enhance students’ understanding of the significance of professional informal communication and interpersonal skills in the field of social work. 

 Conclusion

Communication and interpersonal Skills of Social Work was prompted by the lack of awareness between communication theory and social work practice. Interpersonal communication is the primary medium for the practice of social work. The fundamental interpersonal abilities of talking and listening facilitate social interaction.
